Community

Community Service, Industry Involvement, and Academic Interests

These four structural supports are also the foundations of my engagement in community service, industry groups, and academic interests. Some of my current activities include:

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and delivering academic papers at national, regional, and international conferences.

  • Participating in the International Coaching Federation, Society for Human Resource Management, and Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.

  • Serving on committees of the Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club, and the Rotary Club of Oceanside-Jacksonville, an affiliate of Rotary International.

  • Advocating for the conservation of the North Atlantic Right Whale as an Amelia Island Whale Ambassador through educational programs like the Solve It for Kids podcast.

This is what Community means to me.

As a member of Rotary International, I have the opportunity to participate locally and globally on projects that range from promoting peace, fighting disease, supporting education, saving mothers and children, protecting the environment, growing local economies, and providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene. Rotary’s Four-Way Test underscores the contributions I make as a Board Member of the Mid-State Literacy Council, an Amelia Island Whale Ambassador, and a Community Representative for the Centre County United Way Funds Distribution Process.
