The Executive and Leadership Coaching EXPERIENCE

This service is designed for leaders of organizations in any sector and applies to unionized, private, international, family-owned, or public companies. Depending on the client’s objectives, this process incorporates individual assessments, coaching sessions, and workshops that can be implemented with staff members, teams, or an entire workforce. The goal of Executive and Leadership coaching is to aim higher to achieve SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) goals, develop the ability to motivate individuals at every level within an organization, and excel as a trusted leader who inspires employee loyalty, which results in increased productivity, outstanding performance, and brand allegiance.

  • Defining the Scope: The scope of Executive and Leadership coaching must be sufficiently narrowed for the organization to obtain the maximum benefit from the experience. For example, this type of coaching is usually tailored to senior leaders, managers, executives, and Board Members. However, an organization may determine that new managers, transferees who are leaders, self-managed teams, leader-led teams, or managers of managers participate in individual assessments and subsequent feedback and coaching sessions. Some areas where this type of coaching is useful includes professional development, non-performance, conflict management, upskilling or reskilling, performance management, imposter syndrome, collaboration and cohesiveness, and implementation of an organization’s mission and vision. The parameters of the coaching engagement are most often agreed upon with the input of one or more of the following stakeholders: CEO, Human Resources, functional Vice President, or supervisor of the individual who participates in the coaching experience.

  • The Coaching Process: Executive and Leadership coaching is customized in response to the results of individual assessments, self-identified areas for development, and input from key stakeholders. The initial coaching sessions prioritize areas for growth that most benefit the individual’s professional and personal advancement. These sessions flow into a linkage phase that ensures alignment of individual objectives with team outcomes and the organization’s mission and strategic plans. Defined goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for success are identified and evaluated in connection with the organization’s key result areas (KRAs). The higher the individual’s commitment to doing the work necessary to complete tasks and achieve milestones, the higher the likelihood of attainment of SMART goals and overall success.
