EQ Assessments and Leadership Coaching
Branch Out to Reach Your Highest PotentialSM
The Emotional Intelligence (EQ) growth Experience
The RocheMartin Emotional Capital Report (ECR) and the ECR 360 are assessments that measure EQ in ten competencies that are the hallmarks of successful leadership and builds on the research of Reuven Bar-On, Daniel Goleman, Martyn Newman, and Judy Purse. Specifically designed for executives and leaders, top companies like Google, Oracle, Randstad, Allianz, Exxon Mobil, and Johnson and Johnson utilize the ECR and ECR 360 in their professional development programs. These assessments are useful in benchmarking executive and leadership development, talent management, negotiation and conflict management skills, wellness and wellbeing, career planning, change management and culture transformation.
The EQ Assessments Process: The ECR takes 10-12 minutes to complete and is designed to provide client feedback on emotional intelligence related to leadership competencies in ten areas. The ECR contains detailed information about the way the client manages his/her emotions, how the client reacts to stimuli in his/her environment, and how the client manages others around him/her. The ECR is appropriate for any leader from new managers to senior leaders, executives, and Board Members.
The ECR 360 takes 10-12 minutes to complete and provides two reports (the ECR and the 360), which includes feedback on how the client interacts with people around him/her based on perceptions of peers, direct reports, supervisors, and others. Comprehension of the client’s strengths and areas for improvement in the ten competencies can serve to build stronger relationships, support mental health and resilience, enhance conflict management and negotiation skills, recruit and retain high performers, and develop empathy to manage diverse and multi-generational teams.
The Coaching Process: Leadership coaching with the aid of an EQ assessment allows the client to continuously build emotional intelligence through working on the ten leadership competencies. Each competency has three sub-competencies and the ECR provides targeted areas for development and questions to guide the client in developing an action plan. Through the dynamic of coaching the whole person and inclusion of the 360 format the client can better track progress in both personal and professional contexts.
The coach navigates the client through this structured process and engages the client in a co-creative collaboration via powerful questions, reflections, and observations concentrated on the client’s objectives. This process utilizes established coaching techniques to assist the client in realizing insights, considering new perspectives, modifying behavior, and assuming accountability for actions to move forward with committed steps to accomplishing personal SMART goals as well as attaining the organization’s key performance indicators (KPIs) in its key result areas (KRAs).
